Hi, I'm looking for network researches focused on the nation-state evolution. I'm developing the concept of network-state but there is insufficient literature supported by network data. Did anybody hear about quantitative analysis of: contemporary global political system, international structure of economic relations etc.? Any book or article will be very helpful. Thanks.

See a comparison between nation state to network state with historical case studies in: Talmud and S. This is my dissertation! I'm also using a global governance approach, analyzing two types of security networks on two different relations each. The first case study is on the Indian Ocean tsunami (human security), and a draft is available here: http://opensiuc.lib.siu.edu/pn_wp/22/ I'd love to hear your comments.

Hello Kamil, I do not know of any quantitative analysis. For a discussion of the concept of global governance regimes from a social network analysis perspective, see my latest book, Stakeholder Politics, especially the last chapter (Greenleaf Publishing, UK, Stanford University Press, USA). Like you, I would be interested in knowing about quantitative analyses of the current global political system. Please let me know if you discover any. Robert Boutilier
