- IkeNet: U.S. Military Academy, McCulloh, I.
- IkeNet is a data set of email communication among several social groups at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. The 2008-2009 academic year will mark the third in a five year research project sponsored by the U.S. Army Research Institute for the Behavioral and Social Sciences. Year one consists of the email communication between 24 mid-career Army officers enrolled in a one-year graduate program run jointly between Columbia University and the U.S. Military Academy. Year two repeats the first year, on a new cohort of 24 officer. In addition, year 2 adds the email neworks of the operations chain of command of one of four cadet military regiments, and the email networks of a group of 12 faculty members. Year three includes 14 officers in the graduate program, 26 cadets in the chain of command of one of four cadet military regiments, and the email network of 20 cadet and faculty researching social networks. We are open to working with others in the field of social network analysis to shape research questions, surveys, and data collection. Please contact Major Ian McCulloh at ai6873@usma.edu or Mrs. Aura Keating at aura.keating@usma.edu for more information.
- Interlocking directorate in Norway (monthly since May 2002), Opsahl, T.
- For a recent paper on boards and gender, I downloaded information on the composition of all Norwegian public limited companies (these companies must have 40% representation of each gender on their boards of directors). The monthly networks are available in UCINET format through the paper’s supporting website (www.boardsandgender.com). The site contains both the two-mode network files and projected one-mode network files for each month since May 2002 as well as names and directors\' gender.
