Big Data Analysis for Social Scientists (7-9 Feb)
(part of ACSPRI Summer Program 2022)
This course covers collection and analysis of network and text data from social media (Twitter, YouTube, Reddit) and WWW (hyperlink networks). It is an R-based course and focuses on the VOSON tools for data collection and analysis, igraph for network analysis and tidytext and quanteda for text analysis. The course runs 9.30am to 5.30pm (Canberra time) for 3 days via zoom (zoom sessions are recorded and available to participants for up to 3 months after the course).
