NOTE: INSNA is only able to provide visa letters once someone has successfully registered for Sunbelt and paid for the registration. Registration will open in January 2027. We are unable to provide letters until registration has opened. Follow the steps below:
- Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has provided a letter written in English and French detailing the visa application process. Click here to download!
- Get a visa letter from INSNA after both registering and paying for Sunbelt. Attendees will answer questions in the registration form. Please be aware that letters will take several business days to process and will be sent separately via email. As a reminder, registration will open in January 2027.
- Use the provided visa letter in your application. This is required.
- INSNA is registered with the Canadian Government as an international event. Your visa letter will contain a special event code. You are required to include this event code in your visa application form.*
- Visit https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account.html to complete your visa application, and follow all the steps exactly as written in the application.
- After completing your visa application, send your visa application number to us at support@insna.org. Note: Your information is reported to IRCC as a registered delegate for Sunbelt, and having your visa application number is critical!

- Workshops should focus on teaching attendees specific methods, software, or theories.
- Proposals should be for a half-day (3 hour) or full-day (6 hour) workshop.
- All workshops will be presented in-person in Montréal, QC, Canada. INSNA is unable to accommodate virtual workshops and/or virtual presenters.

- Complete all required fields on the form. You will be asked to provide the following information:
- Workshop title, description, and intended learner level
- Names and email addresses of all workshop speakers
- Whether your proposal is a half-day (3 hour) or full-day (6 hour) workshop
- Agreement to the Sunbelt Workshop Policies.
Anyone submitting a workshop proposal must acknowledge that they have read and agree to the following policies:
In-Person Participation Policy
Any workshop speakers are required to present in-person at the 2027 Sunbelt in Montréal, QC, Canada. INSNA is unable to accommodate virtual workshops and/or virtual presenters. Any workshop speakers are required to register for Sunbelt.
Sunbelt Scheduling Policy
All workshops will be scheduled either on Monday, June 21; Tuesday, June 22; or Wednesday, June 23, at the discretion of the conference organizers.
Accepted Workshops
Accepted workshops will be scheduled at the sole discretion of the conference organizers on one of the following dates: Monday, June 21; Tuesday, June 22; or Wednesday, June 23, and all workshops will be marketed equally on the INSNA website. Any unique marketing must be done by the speaker(s) on their own social media and/or websites to encourage ticket sales.
If a workshop does not have any ticket sales by Monday, June 7, 2027 (two weeks prior to Sunbelt), INSNA will contact the affected speaker(s) to discuss removing the workshop from the schedule.
Compensation
Accepted workshop presenters will be compensated based on the ticket sales for their workshop. Payment is 50% of the revenue earned from the workshop's ticket sales. (Example: If a speaker's workshop sells $600 USD worth of tickets, the speaker will be eligible for $300 USD.) If a workshop has more than one (1) speaker, the 50% revenue payment will be divided equally among the speakers.
Workshop speaker(s) whose workshop(s) are cancelled or opt not to facilitate their workshop(s) in-person are not eligible for compensation.
INSNA is currently accepting proposals for oral presentations and posters via Whova until Monday, February 1, 2027, 11:59 PM ET.
Sunbelt presentations will be organized by tracks. You are required to select a primary track and a secondary track. Please select the tracks that fit your proposal best. Please refer to our Sunbelt 2027 Tracks Defined document to learn more about our track options.
