Workshop: Online Subject Recruitment

Thursday, June 17, 2021

Event Details

We are running a workshop next week on how to recruit participants online. The main focus will be recruiting volunteers using crowdsourcing, social media, snowball sampling, and online advertising. (We already did a workshop on using Mechanical Turk, recorded here.) If you're looking to recruit subjects on a budget and need advice, this workshop is for you.
Please register ahead of time on our events page so we have a headcount and can get the technology. You can also see our upcoming workshops:
  • Creating cognitive using jsPsych
  • Creating multiperson studies on Volunteer Science
  • Building your own subject pool.
We're at the halfway point in our summer workshop series. So, in case you missed our previous workshops, we've recorded standalone versions here:

Date: June 17th, 2021
Time: 12:00pm-1:00pm EST

There are many ways to recruit subjects for your studies. And, different studies require different recruitment strategies. Come learn from the expertise we've developed from running over 700,000 participants online. We'll show you the tradeoffs in everything from paid pools and online panels, to crowdsourcing, online ads, and partnerships. You should come away from the workshop with the best options for recruiting for your study.

This workshop will be recorded for attendees to come back to it for reference and inspiration.

If you have any questions about the workshop, please contact support at support@volunteerscience.com.
